Quick Guide to Creating a Delivery Database

Follow this simple three-step guide to build a Delivery Database using the Five development environment.

Step 1: Create a New Application

Start by clicking on Applications in Five. Then, click the yellow Plus icon to create a new application. Name your app Delivery Database and save your changes by clicking the Tick ✔️ icon.

Step 2: Set Up Your Database Tables

Access the Table Wizard under Data. Create three tables: Deliveries, Customers, and Products. Define the necessary fields in each table. For example, the Deliveries table should include fields like DeliveryID, CustomerID, and DeliveryDate. Remember to create relationships where necessary to enable a many-to-many relationship between Customers and Products through a junction table.

Step 3: Create User Interface Forms

Navigate to Visual and select the Form Wizard. Create forms for each of your tables to allow data entry and management. Ensure you set the main data source as the respective tables (Deliveries, Customers, Products). Save each form after configuring the necessary fields and settings.

Congratulations! You have successfully created a Delivery Database with essential application functionality using Five.
