Welcome to our three-step guide on building a Template Database using Five! Follow these steps to quickly set up your template database for future applications.

Step 1: Create a New Application

1.1. Navigate to the Applications section in Five and click the yellow Plus icon to create a new application.
1.2. Name your application, for example, Template Database.
1.3. Click the Tick ✔️ icon to save your new template application.

Step 2: Create Database Tables

2.1. Access the Data section and click on Table Wizard to create your database tables.
2.2. Create tables that will be commonly used, such as Users, Products, and Orders.
2.3. Add necessary fields to each table (for example, Name, Email for Users; SKU, Price for Products). Be sure to set the correct data types and display types.
2.4. After configuring your tables, click the Tick ✔️ icon to save each table.

Step 3: Set Up Relationships and Queries

3.1. Go to the Database Modeler to ensure the relationships between your tables are correctly established (e.g., many-to-many between Products and Orders via a junction table).
3.2. Create any necessary queries to retrieve data, such as fetching all orders for a specific user or product.
3.3. Finally, click the Tick ✔️ icon to save your queries for future use.
